Peachie’s Take on Cured Beef (Beef Tapa)

 

imageI got this recipe on line but I love Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce.So here it is guys & I guarantee that you will love this cured beef.,recommended marinate the 2lbs beef sirloin on this mixture for 3 days but in my home it never reached that long coz’it got cooked within 1-2 days.Superb!…..1st rub in lemon or lime juice half on the steaks,Drain on a colander while preparing the marinade.Mix in a non reactive glass square bowl the ff:2 Tbsp each of soy sauce,rice wine vinegar,freshly squeezed lemon juice,brown sugar & 1/2 heart 0f  crushed garlic, 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper & 1 piece of chopped Chipotle Pepper in Adobo sauce,of course you need to wear gloves to remove seeds.,Add the drained sirloin steaks,with your gloved hands mixed in the ingredients with the steaks well.Cover & refrigerate for 3 days.When ready to fry.Use a non stick skillet & put in a Tbsp,of olive oil just to oil the pan,once hot,Line up the pieces of marinated steaks on single layer on the pan.Add 1/4 cup of water & cover & let it boil in medium heat,flipping them once until the steaks becomes tender & when all the water evaporated,add a little amount of olive oil so the steaks don’t stick & burn.Seve immediately w/ your favorite wine!….pls let me know how you enjoy making it & tell me if the Chipotle gives it a different character of spice.Bon Appetit!
